Nicole Butterfield graduated with her Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Cloud State University in 2019 and is currently working towards licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Nicole has worked in the mental health field the past 2 years, predominantly with adolescents and their families around several mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and trauma. Prior to her mental health experience, Nicole worked in childcare for 5 years and has extensive training in development. Nicole is very passionate about working with children and adolescents to not only protect a child’s development, but also help guide families into safeguarding and conducting developmentally appropriate conversations around the millions of messages that today’s media presents.
Nicole also has a certification in Prepare/ Enrich which allows her to work with couples who are engaged and married couples who would like to enrich their relationships. Nicole is currently working in the Mora School District using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and systemic frameworks with at risk children and their families. Nicole generally finds quick connection with kiddos through her love of superheroes, Star Wars, and video games.
