Erin Simonson, MSW, LGSW, LADC, is a clinical trainee who works in our school-linked mental health department at the Milaca Schools. Erin received her Master’s of Social Work from University of North Dakota in 2019 and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Argosy University in 2006. She is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Erin brings a variety of experience into her sessions and professional career as she has worked in residential chemical dependency treatment, community-based mental health, school-based chemical health support, outpatient chemical dependency, outpatient mental health and community social work consultation. Erin has advanced training on Opioid Use disorder and works diligently with community public health regarding the prevention of Opioid Overdose. Additionally, Erin has been working toward certification in early childhood mental health modalities to include: DC: 0-5 and the evidence-based program Attachment Biobehavioral Catch-Up (ABC) for infants and caregivers. Erin has a passion for working with family systems who have been impacted by trauma, addiction, and mental health concerns.
