Professional Experience: I have been working in the Human Services field since 2008 and have provided more than 10,000 hours of direct support to clients in a wide variety of settings, and have been providing community support to clients throughout Mille Lacs County since January 2015. I have experience in supporting, coaching, teaching, demonstrating and practicing skills with clients to cope with symptoms they experience. I host a weekly social support group for clients to practice social skills in a safe place. I collaborate with county mental health social workers regularly and at a bi-monthly Local Advisory Council (L.A.C.) on mental health.
Special Interests: I specialize in working with clients who have serious and persistent mental illnesses. I have been trained in Illness Management and Recovery through Minnesota Center for Chemical and Mental Health. I also specialize in hosting group events, activities and outings. I enjoy bringing clients out to special places or social events and providing them an opportunity to have valuable life experiences. My top 5 Clifton Strengths are empathy, ideation, intellection, activator and adaptability.
A Fun Fact About Me: The first unique thing you will notice about me is my height, I am 6’10” tall. I love to spend my free time out in nature hunting for Minnesota’s state gemstone, Lake Superior agates.
