Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment model that helps children, adolescents, and families recover from trauma experience(s).

TF-CBT is a short-term (generally 8-25 sessions), structured therapy that was developed in the 1990’s by Drs. Anthony Mannarino, Judith Cohen and Esther Deblinger. Core components of TF-CBT include psychoeducation, coping skills, gradual exposure, cognitive processing, and caregiver involvement.

TF-CBT is for ages 3-18 years of age and can help in reducing symptoms related to having experienced trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression.
